Tips to pass practical driving exam

tips

The training content focuses on the key points needed to pass on the first try!

Among those who actually took the driving test at the test center, many only realize after hearing from the examiner that they failed because of things like "incorrect use of turn signals" or "insufficient safety checks."
Most people do not understand the key points required to pass, which results in failing the test.

Scoring is based on a deduction system!

During the test, the applicant's driving is evaluated with a point system.

Let's check the scoring criteria.

  • The test is evaluated using a deduction method.
  • The applicant starts with 100 points.
  • To pass, you must have at least 70 points remaining at the end of the test.
  • There are four types of deductions: 5 points, 10 points, 20 points, and immediate termination (automatic fail regardless of other items).

Common Deduction Examples

10-Point Deduction

Reason: Failed to turn your head for a safety check when you were the first car at an intersection with traffic lights.
Failed applicant’s comment: "I thought I was driving carefully, but I didn’t know when exactly to turn my head!"

20-Point Deduction

Reason: Determined that the distance from the car in front while waiting at a traffic light was too short.
Failed applicant’s comment: "I didn’t even notice. I thought it was fine based on my usual driving..."

Test Termination (Retest required even if other driving tasks were good)

Reason: Failed to yield to a vehicle with right-of-way at an intersection.
Failed applicant’s comment: "I thought there was enough distance. Why did I fail?"

Result:

Most people who take the test without lessons from a professional instructor end up wondering, "Why did I fail when I drive fine every day?"

The important thing to understand here is that if you don’t know the scoring criteria, you will easily lose points. There are about 120 scoring items.
Most failed applicants do not understand these criteria, which is why they fail.

Free Explanation Video

We provide students who take our training with a video that summarizes the key points of the test in 9 easy-to-understand steps.

Why is a test preparation video manual necessary?

  • Detailed explanation of scoring criteria:
Clearly explains how examiners evaluate each driving operation, deduction points, and the passing threshold. Just knowing this gives you peace of mind.
  • Differences from everyday driving:
Compares daily driving habits with what is required during the test. Understand not only the differences but also the reasons behind them, so you can practice with confidence.
  • Easy to understand visually:
By watching actual footage instead of just reading text, it’s easier to visualize and remember. You can review it as many times as you need.

In the driving license test, examiners evaluate special driving techniques that are different from everyday driving. If you take the test without knowing these points, you may fail even if your driving skills are good.

This manual explains the scoring criteria in detail and clearly shows how they differ from general driving. This allows you to understand exactly what is required in the test and prepare efficiently.

Review common deduction points at home or on the go

Certain operational mistakes in the test can lead to major point deductions. The video manual explains these points in detail and shows exactly how to deal with them.

By knowing the key points that often cause deductions, you can take measures in advance and prevent mistakes on the test day.
