Interview on the foreign license conversion system and the increase in traffic accidents involving foreigners

We were interviewed about the current state and challenges of the foreign license conversion system.
We pointed out the risks caused by the simplicity of the test and cultural differences in traffic behavior, and discussed the need for system reform.

April 2021 Appearance on TBS

Appeared as an instructor on the TBS TV program “Ariyoshi Japon II.”
As part of the show’s project, I served as the driving instructor for celebrity Nicole Fujita from complete beginner until she obtained her license.
She passed both the provisional and final driving tests on the first try, and the story was also picked up by the news.

Interview about transportation for foreigners living in Japan during the pandemic.
We discussed how many shifted from using public transport like trains to traveling by car, resulting in a rise in foreign drivers obtaining licenses in Japan.
