These fees must be paid directly to the Driver’s License Testing Center. They are not included in the fees you pay to our school.

About the First Driving Practice

You will have a 3-hour driving practice session. We will also explain in detail how to study with textbooks and mock tests. On this day, you can also book future lessons, but since this is a very popular program, we recommend discussing a full schedule up to license acquisition in advance.

Contract Details

1. Purpose of the Contract

This contract defines the terms of the driving instruction services provided by Kiki Driving School (hereinafter referred to as "our school") to the student (hereinafter referred to as "the student") and establishes the policies and rules for obtaining a Japanese driver’s license.

2. Program Overview

Our school provides comprehensive instruction in the driver’s license acquisition process (learner’s permit and full license). At each stage, both a written test and a practical driving test at the driver’s license examination center are required.

3. Course Fees

• 6-day program: ¥259,000
• 8-day program: ¥297,000
• 10-day program: ¥333,000

4. Payment Method

5. Refunds and Cancellation Policy

Cooling-off Period

In accordance with the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions, if the course period exceeds 2 months or the total payment exceeds ¥50,000 (including tax), the client may cancel the contract within the cooling-off period. After the period ends, mid-term cancellation may still be possible under certain conditions.

Mid-term Cancellation

Non-refundable costs after payment: Once full payment has been made, the following fees are non-refundable.

• Textbook fee: ¥9,000
• Online support fee: ¥24,500
• Administrative fee: ¥3,000

Total non-refundable amount: ¥36,500

Refund Policy: Lessons already taken are non-refundable. If lessons remain, a prorated refund will be issued after deducting the above non-refundable costs.

Conditions for Mid-term Cancellation

Mid-term cancellation is only possible if there are remaining lessons within the course period. The cancellation date is the date on which the school receives notice by written document, LINE, or SMS.

Cancellation by Minors

If the student is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must apply for cancellation.

Completion and Validity Period

After all lessons are completed or the course period ends, cancellation is not permitted for any reason. The contract is valid for 3 years from the start date, and after 3 years no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

5. Number and Structure of Practical Lessons in the Program

• 6-day program: Learner’s permit: 3 hours × 3 days; Full license: 2 hours × 3 days
• 8-day program: Learner’s permit: 3 hours × 3 days; Full license: 2 hours × 5 days
• 10-day program: Learner’s permit: 3 hours × 3 days; Full license: 2 hours × 7 days

6. Study Materials and Requirements

Our school provides study materials such as textbooks and mock exams.

7. Responsibilities of Our School

• We will provide qualified instructors and safely maintained vehicles.
• We will conduct lessons according to the specified schedule.
• We will provide guidance and necessary support regarding both written and practical exams.

8. Responsibilities of the Student

• The student must study the assigned materials and complete the mock exams.
• The student must attend all scheduled lessons on time and follow school regulations.
• The student is responsible for making their own reservations for the written and practical exams.
• The student must comply with Japanese traffic laws, school rules, and safety instructions.

9. Additional Qualification

Completion of a first-aid training course is required to obtain a driver’s license. Our school will assist with booking the course after the written exam is passed.

10. Safety and Liability

We will ensure a safe learning environment and controlled practice area. Students must follow safety instructions. We are not responsible for accidents caused by ignoring instructions.

11. Contract Termination

If the student fails to fulfill their obligations, either party may terminate the contract. In cases of non-payment, disruptive behavior, or violation of rules, the contract may be terminated without refund.

12. Governing Law

This contract shall be governed by the laws of Japan.
